Unregistered, loaded firearm found in felon’s car: PD
(KRON) – A convicted felon was found with an unregistered firearm during a traffic stop early Sunday morning, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. 

Santa Rosa police officers pulled over a vehicle for equipment and moving violations near Maple Avenue around 4:10 a.m.

The driver was identified as 29-year-old Vallejo resident Omar Talley. Due to him being on probation, Santa Rosa PD said he could be subject to search by any law enforcement officer.

An unregistered and loaded Glock 9mm pistol with 25 rounds under the driver’s seat, police said. Per authorities, Talley is prohibited from having a gun due to a prior felony conviction.

Talley was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail for suspicion of prohibited person in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle and possessing of a firearm not registered with the Department of Justice.
