
The line will run from Oncor’s proposed Dinosaur Switch, north of Glen Rose, to the existing Longshore Switch near Forsan, traveling approximately 235-270 miles depending on which of 3 proposed routes is utilized.
These counties could be affected by the transmission line:
- Eastland
- Comanche
- Brown
- Coleman
- Callahan
- Taylor
- Runnels
- Nolan
- Mitchell
A series of public meetings will be taking place June 2-4 where community members can give input on the proposed routes.
The first meeting will take place in Big Spring at Ryan Hall (605 N. Main Street) June 2, the second meeting will take place in Sweetwater at Marqueza Conference Center (301 N. Oak Street) June 3, and the third meeting will take place in Stephenville at Cross Timbers Legacy Center (830 S. Graham Avenue) June 4. All meetings will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Once a route is finalized, the new transmission line is estimated to be complete by 2028.
