On April 26, Colma police were informed by Target loss prevention personnel that a man stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise. Police also learned that loss prevention tried to detain the man, however, he did not comply.
Arriving officers said they located the suspect a short distance from the Target. According to CPD, the suspect gave officers a false identity, but was able to ascertain his real name in their investigation. The suspect was identified as Liavia Wilson.
Wilson, 33, was found to have committed a theft earlier in the same day, according to CPD. Authorities also confirm Wilson stole approximately $1,721.80 worth of items.
In a photo provided by CPD, Wilson shoplifted dozens of makeup items and seven Tide detergent bags.
Wilson was arrested and booked into the county jail for the following charges: commercial burglary, grand theft and providing false information to a peace officer.
