Gerald and the KLFY team are fishing in Vermillion Parish, although the conditions are not ideal, it was a great opportunity to spend time talking about three of our most popular waterways in Acadiana which are the basin Vermilion Bay, and big lake out towards Lake Charles.
The thunderstorms, fronts and significant rainfall totals have led to challenging fishing conditions. The fish are out there, but it requires patience, skill, and timing.
Anthony Hebert is the owner of Uncle T’s Oyster Bar in Scott. We were able to discuss everything we could about fishing those three areas he grew up in these waterways.
He’s far from an expert but it’s something he loves to do. And because he does own one of the most popular restaurants in our area, we know at the end of the day we can at least go back to the restaurant and cook up some delicious fish tacos, and blackened fish. Or should we say a grilled fish plate from uncle T’s in Scott.
