Rayville apartment shooting suspect arrested in Alexandria; charged with Attempted Murder

RAYVILLE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On May 27, 2025, the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 22-year-old Antijaun Miller was taken into custody by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office on May 26, 2025. Miller was identified as the suspect in a shooting that occurred at an apartment complex in Rayville, La.

On May 20, 2025, at approximately 8:15 PM, deputies of the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office and officers of the Rayville Police Department responded to a shooting at Richland Apartments on Russell Street. Upon arrival, officials located four victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to authorities, three of the victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and one of the victims declined medical attention at the scene. During the investigation, authorities learned that a fight occurred and escalated into gunshots.

Miller was placed under arrest after being released from a hospital in Alexandria, La. He was charged with 6 counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

No bond has been set. Miller will reportedly be transported to the Richland Parish Detention Center.
