Ogden woman allegedly runs over boyfriend during argument

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — An Ogden woman was booked in the Weber County Jail after allegedly running her boyfriend over during an argument.

On Saturday, May 24, police responded to a call in the City of Ogden, where a victim reported that he was run over by a vehicle that his girlfriend drove.

According to police, the incident happened during an argument. Police said the victim received medical assistance and was recommended to go to the hospital for more treatment, but he refused.

Police said that the victim had a 2-inch-wide hole in his right leg that seemed to need stitches, and was unable to walk properly due to the injury. He also reportedly had a small laceration to his right shoulder.

Police contacted the suspect, who reported she was involved in the accident and knew she had run the victim over.

As she did not remain on the scene of the accident and due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, she faces charges of failure to remain at accident involving serious injury and aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
