ISP investigating inmate’s death at Howard County Jail

HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. – Police are investigating after an inmate died at the Howard County Jail over the weekend.

According to Indiana State Police, deputies found 47-year-old Amanda L. Sullivan “lying on the ground and unresponsive” around 7 p.m. Saturday.

They administered emergency medical aid, including CPR, but Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Indiana State Police are investigating. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.

The Howard County Coroner’s Office and Howard County Sheriff’s Office are assisting ISP’s investigation.
