LSU is the number six national seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament field with a 43-14 overall record, 19-11 mark in SEC play, and a win over Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament.
The Tigers will open regional play Friday at 2 p.m. against the four-seed, Little Rock (24-32). The Trojans were an eight-seed in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, and after four wins in five days, Little Rock claimed the OVC title and automatic berth.
The other side of the bracket features the two-seed, Dallas Baptist (40-16), and the three-seed Rhode Island, who will play Friday at 6:30 p.m.
LSU defeated Dallas Baptist, 7-3, in a February 26th matchup at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Rhode Island (38-20) claimed the Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship SAturday with a 4-1 win over George Mason.
The winner of the Baton Rouge Regionl Bracket will face the winner of the Clemson Bracket in the Super Regional round.
That bracket featured the eleven-seed Clemson, West Virginia, Kentucky, and USC Upstate.
