3 armed men rob armored vehicle in Wilmington: police

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPHL) — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of an armored vehicle on Wednesday.

According to reports, the daytime robbery happened at the Restaurant Depot on Cornell Drive near Rogers Road. DSP is searching for three men, all armed, last seen running toward the Oakmont development. Police believe two of the suspects got away on foot, and one suspect may be in a dark-colored Nissan SUV.

While detectives have cleared the scene, DSP says the investigation remains active.

The Delaware State Police is urging residents in the area to remain vigilant and call 9-1-1 immediately if they see anything suspicious or have information.
