SALT LAKE CITY
(ABC4) – Happy Wednesday, Utah! Scattered showers and storms will remain possible through Wednesday evening as an upper low continues to work through Utah.
High temperatures will remain below average with highs only in the 50s along the Wasatch Front and 70s for SW Utah. A few high mountain-based snow showers and snow squalls may be possible above about 8,000 FT as some cooler air remains in place for some of our mountain tops.
The upper trough should begin to exit the area on Thursday, but still keeps isolated rain chances around during the day. The best chances for showers on Thursday will be for areas east of I-15, especially across the mountains. Highs will begin to rebound but remain below average during this time. Highs jump back into the 60s for the Wasatch Front, and 80s for SW Utah.
Friday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine. Moisture still lingering across the state could still produce a few pop-up showers across Utah. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s across the Wasatch Front and low to mid-80s for SW Utah.
Saturday will feature increasing clouds and breezy conditions as our next storm system approaches the state. This system will bring increasing chances for showers and rumbles, Saturday night through Sunday and Monday, along with another round of cooler temperatures! Some areas may pick up between 1.00-2.00″ of rain across northern Utah from today through next Tuesday!
