Lincoln City school bus driver accused of luring a student

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Lincoln City school bus driver was arrested Friday, accused of luring a student in the district in which he works.

Police say 21-year-old Josiah Lafrenz was taken into custody after they learned of “inappropriate communications” between him and a student at Taft 7-12 Middle & High School the day before.

Lafrenz is now facing charges of luring a minor and online sexual corruption of a child.

He is currently lodged in the Lincoln County Jail and police say he is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

As investigators believe there may be additional child victims, anyone with information is encouraged to contact Lincoln City police.
