From 6-9 p.m. on May 9, the new scoop shop located at 1600 Spruce Street will be giving away free scoops and a limited-edition pint koozie for the first 50 guests, complimentary flowers for customers and their mothers, and more.
The new scoop shop will also debut a limited-time Saffron Rosewater Pistachio ice cream sandwich.
There will be 24 rotating small-batch scoop flavors, as well as ice cream sandwiches and to-go pints.
The Rittenhouse scoop shop will also have a new coffee and tea program featuring blends from Delaware-based Brandywine Coffee Roasters, vegan ice cream flavors, and a new soft serve ice cream program.
“Expanding to Rittenhouse is an exciting milestone for Weckerly’s,” said Cristina Torres, CEO and Owner of Weckerly’s. “This neighborhood has always been a special place for me, and we’re thrilled to bring our handcrafted ice cream to a new corner of the city. With each step of our growth, our focus remains on making the best product from scratch and creating joy and connection through our ice cream, and we can’t wait to welcome the community to our newest location.”
Weckerly’s opened their first location in Fishtown in 2012, and has since expanded to the King of Prussia Mall location in September 2024, and now Rittenhouse in May 2025.
