Shapiro, other state leaders honor fallen Pennsylvania police officers

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Governor Shapiro and other state leaders gathered Monday night at the Capitol to honor Pennsylvania’s fallen police officers.

The governor spoke at the annual memorial service organized by the Fraternal Order of Police.

It’s a 30-year tradition.

Shapiro pointed out when Americans run from danger, our police officers do the exact opposite.

He says the memorial is not just to remember their ultimate sacrifice, but also the lives they spent in public service.
