The new location is expected to open at the Oak Grove Plaza in Concord, near Trader Joe’s. According to the owners, The French Spot plans to open its Concord shop in August.
The French Spot in San Francisco is located at 1042 Larkin St. in the city’s Lower Nob Hill neighborhood. The bakery first started by doing numerous pop-ups across the Bay Area before eventually opening its San Francisco brick-and-mortar shop in 2022.
It is owned by husband and wife Vincent Attali and Maria Zapata, who live in Contra Costa County. The French Spot’s menu includes its signature “Ube Mochicro” croissant and a variety of other pastries, pies, cookies, muffins and more.
A popular Bay Area bagel shop is opening at Oak Grove Plaza. Berkeley-based Boichik Bagels is opening in May, KRON4 reported in March.
As of this month, the Concord location is “halfway through construction.” No official opening date has been set.
The French Spot in San Francisco is open Thursday to Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bakery is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hours for the future Concord location are still to be determined.
