SF-based brewery opening new location with waterfront views

(KRON) — Dubbed the “coldest tasting beer” in the city, a San Francisco brewery is opening a new location this Friday, June 6. Standard Deviant Brewing is debuting its waterfront location at Pier 70’s building 12 at 2 p.m.

The Pier 70 brewery — located at 1070 Maryland St. near the Irish Hill historical landmark — will be Standard Deviant’s first expansion location since the business started nearly 10 years ago.

“Waterfront views, The Coldest Tasting Beer in SF and smiles all around. Can’t wait to share the space with the neighborhood and The City. Everyone is welcome. Always,” Standard Deviant wrote in a social media post.

You might have seen Standard Deviant’s anchor location in the northern part of the Mission District that resembles a factory warehouse or a car repair shop. Standard Brewery opened back in 2016.

Last week, popular Santa Cruz brewery opened its first San Francisco outpost at Pier 39. Humble Sea Brewing Company held its grand opening on May 29.
