Driver killed after fiery crash on Interstate 20
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A man was killed Sunday morning after his vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree along Interstate 20, authorities said.

According to officials, the crash occurred just before 11:00 a.m. between the frontage road and I-20 at Exit 292B. The eastbound vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree, which caused the vehicle to catch fire.

The driver, who was the sole occupant, was pulled from the vehicle but was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
