According to CCSO, the mission focused on multiple retail stores along Southeast 82nd Avenue near Johnson Creek Boulevard.
Over the course of the 10-hour mission, officials recovered 124 stolen items and arrested 25 suspected shoplifters – some with methamphetamine and fentanyl in their possession.
Additionally, deputies said several of those taken into custody had active arrest warrants. One suspect was found to have committed 12 other thefts from the same store since November 2024, with items valued at nearly $1,300, according to CCSO.
Deputies added another arrested suspect had shoplifted from other retailers and liquor stores in the area, with the stolen items totaling over $2,000.
Given the rise in organized retail theft, CCSO says more missions are planned in the future.
