With Jonathan Lee on first base in the top of the ninth inning, Luke Zeringue smacked a hard ground ball to third.
The throw to first took the first baseman off the bag, and Zeringue was safe at first. Lee instinctively kept running the bases and scored the go-ahead run to give the Cardinals the 3-2 advantage.
