By rssfeeds-admin (KRON) — An employee at the Contra Costa School of Performing Arts in Walnut Creek has been arrested for allegedly having sex with an underage student. On Wednesday at around 10:15 a.m., the Walnut Creek Police Department arrested 43-year-old Gerard Flaherty of Pleasant Hill.
At the time of his arrest, Flaherty was an employee at the school, officials said. According to the Contra Costa School of Performing Arts website, he is the school’s Climate & Culture Supervisor.
Flaherty is currently being held at the Martinez Detention Facility with no bail. Officials said that due to the age of the victim, no additional details will be released at this time.
Officers and detectives with the Walnut Creek Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
