One of Thailand’s most famous bars is coming to Chicago for one night only

CHICAGO — Vesper, one of Asia’s most popular bars, is coming to Chicago for one night only.

On Monday, May 5, the bar will take over Hawksmoor Chicago, located at 500 N La Salle Dr. The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.

Vesper was recognized as one of the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2024. It has also been listed on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for the past nine years.

The vintage European-inspired cocktail bar is led by Tom Hearn, who will be teaming up with Hawksmoor Chicago’s Zach Ballard to showcase some of Vesper’s famous cocktails.

Cocktails will be available à la carte for $12 to $14, including:

  • Beehave: made with gin, lychee liqueur, lychee honey, soda and jasmine
  • A Samurai Walks into the Sunset: tequila, Talker 10, Campari, dry vermouth, crème de cacao blanc and shio koji
  • Greenball: strong spirit-forward drink that makes use of tequila, absinthe, mezcal and sour apple liqueur
  • Vesper: Tanqueray gin, Ketel One vodka, Cocchi Americano and orange bitters
