Isa Briones Blasts ‘Disrespectful’ Fans for Yelling Pitt References During Her Broadway Show

The Pitt star Isa Briones has called out “f**king disrespectful” fans for yelling references while at her Broadway show, Just in Time.

The actor, who just wrapped up her second season as the HBO medical drama’s Dr. Trinity Santos, took to her Instagram to air her frustrations with some of the show’s more vocal fans (via Variety). Her post called out fans of The Pitt for attending performances of her jukebox musical just to shout memorable lines while others try to simply enjoy the show.

“Hey, hey, hey!,” Briones wrote. “Once again, Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers. Yelling ‘when are you going to finish your charts’ before I sing ‘Who’s Sorry Now?’ is fucking disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Y’all are pissin’ me off.”

The “when are you going to finish your charts” line Briones said she heard during her performance is a direct reference to a Pitt Season 2 plotline that saw Dr. Santos spending her latest shift filing out medical charts while fighting off sleep. It’s a task that takes up most of her time in the 15-episode second season, and it seems to be eating away at Briones in real life, too.

The character is one of a few fan-favorites on the Pittsburgh-set series, so when Briones transitioned from TV to Broadway, some fans took their inside jokes to the stage. Now, she’s done her best to ask these same viewers to control themselves at Just in Time.

“Love and light and please remember you are occupying shared spaces and watching art,” Briones signed off.

In contrast to her life tending to patients in The Pitt, Just in Time sees Briones lean more into her talents as a singer. In the Broadway show, she plays Connie Francis in a story based on real-life American singer-songwriter, Bobby Darin, who is played by Jeremy Jordan.
