According to Chicago police, officers were first called to the scene in the 3700 block of West Leland Avenue, in Albany Park, just before 9 p.m. on a report that a person had been stabbed in the area.
When officers arrived, they found a 46-year-old who had suffered multiple lacerations to his body while walking along the sidewalk.
The man was later taken to the hospital where he was listed in fair condition.
Authorities later found a second individual, a 40-year-old man, who had sustained more severe injuries.
Officers said the second victim suffered multiple lacerations and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
According to police, the two men sustained the stab wounds after they got into an argument that eventually became physical. Officers said both men then allegedly pulled out “cutting instruments.”
No arrests have been made and authorities said they are still investigating the circumstances involving the incident.
