Man accused of stabbing 34-year-old to death in Albany Park

CHICAGO — A man was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death in Albany Park.

Irving Martinez-Hernandez, 30, was arrested just after 9 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Sunnyside.

Around an hour earlier, he allegedly stabbed Juan Carlos Tello-Suarez, 34, during an altercation in the same location. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Martinez-Hernandez’s detention hearing is scheduled for Friday.
