Victim from drowning incident on Bull Shoals Lake identified as Mountain Home man

The victim of Sunday morning’s drowning incident on Bull Shoals Lake has been identified. Eighty-seven-year-old Robert Clark of Mountain Home was pronounced dead at the scene in the Howard Cove area.

According to a spokesperson from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Clark was attempting crank his boat when it slipped out of its stall. Observers reportedly saw Clark with a paddle in his boat, and the next time they found him, his body was on the surface of the water unresponsive.

Clark’s body has been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock to determine the official cause of death.

Funeral arrangements for Robert Clark are pending at Roller Funeral Home.
