This is the ‘best brunch spot’ in Utah, according to Yelp

ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4) — Recently, Yelp released an updated list of 51 restaurants, with every restaurant being declared the “best brunch spot in each state” — and you may be surprised to learn that Utah’s best place for brunch is not in its densely populated capital city.

Farmstead Bakery, located in St. George, was determined to be the Beehive State’s best brunch restaurant, with an average 4.7-star rating from nearly 600 Yelp reviews. The “European-style bakery” has two other locations, with one in Springdale and one in Hurricane.

So, why did this bakery take the cake? The decision ultimately came down to “Elite” Yelpers.

“We identified businesses in the breakfast and brunch categories, then ranked those spots based on the volume and ratings of reviews given by Yelp Elite Squad members for each business,” Sara Bunge, Yelp North Jersey Senior Community Director, explains online.

More than 80 of Farmstead’s 590 reviews (nearly 14%) came from members of the Yelp Elite Squad, with many of those reviews giving the bakery four or five stars. While many of the Elite reviewers were based in Utah, others came from California, Arizona, Nevada, and as far away as the East Coast.

The bakery promises to offer “exceptional European-style baked goods, freshly crafted with passion and precision.” Some of Farmstead’s most popular offerings, according to Yelp, include the Almond Croissant, Kouign Amann, Chocolate Croissant, and more.

Farmstead was created by Chris Herrin, Li Hsun Sun, and Chris Connors about a decade ago, according to the bakery’s website.

The St. George location of Farmstead is located at 18 S 200 W, and is closed on Tuesdays. The Springdale location is open seven days a week and is located at 948 Zion Park Blvd. In Hurricane, the bakery is closed on Wednesdays, and is located at 11 S Main St.
