Man shot twice in chest at Visalia party, deputies say

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE)- A man was sent to the hospital after being shot Saturday night at a party, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says.

Just after 9:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 31000 block of Road 148 in a rural area northeast of the city.

Reports indicated that someone had been shot, so deputies responded to the location.

They say they arrived to find a man suffering from two gunshot wounds to his chest. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigators learned the shooting was a result of a verbal argument at the party.

The suspect was located nearby and detained.
