KYTC’s high water report for April 21, 2025

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials say its the 19th day of flooding across the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) district, and water finally seems to be dropping at a steady pace.

The KYTC says despite this, there are still roads that remain flooded. If anyone sees a “road closed” sign, they are advised to turn around. Officials are also asking for people to be aware that many of the “popular GPS systems” are not always up-to-date on the most recent closings. People are advised to always check before they drive.

Officials say this list is created using highway mile marker points, which are the nationwide standard to identify specific locations on state and federal roadways. Those points can be located on the KYTC general highway map here.
