Wanted felon arrested after being found hiding in deep freezer

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A wanted felon was arrested after hiding in a Shreveport residence’s deep freezer.

The Shreveport Police Department arrested Marvin Morris on April 15, just after 1 p.m., in coordination with Shreveport City Marshal’s Office members.

According to authorities, Morris was wanted for being a felon in possession of a firearm stemming from an investigation on April 1 in the 2900 block of Peach Street.

Police say they were serving a warrant for his arrest in the 4600 block of Westwood Street when the SPD’s Violent Crimes Abatement Team found Morris hiding inside a deep freezer of the residence.
