Upshur County resident treated for measles in Longview

GREGG County, Texas (KTAL/KMSS)—The Texas measles outbreak continues, with a confirmed case in Longview, TX.

According to the Gregg County Health Authority, a 19-year-old Upshur County resident was treated and released from Christus Good Shepherd in Longview on Sunday.

The most recent update, a Tuesday report from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the state has 561 reported cases, 58 hospitalizations, and two deaths.

Cochran, Dallam, Dawson, Gaines, Garza, Lynn, Lamar, Lubbock, Terry, and Yoakum counties are all designated as having an active spread of the illness.
