SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport man with a lengthy criminal background is back in police custody after the department responded to complaints of an armed person.
Shreveport Police officers arrested 44-year-old Clarence Dock after responding to an armed person complaint in the 4300 block of Illinois Avenue.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they found Dock with a gun, which was later confirmed to have been stolen only a few hours prior.
During the encounter, Dock dropped a bag with a white powdery substance inside, which officers say they have reason to believe is cocaine.
When questioned, police say Dock claimed the substance was “just medicine.”
After continued investigation, police discovered Dock is a convicted felon and a registered sex offender due to a prior conviction of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He is not allowed to own or possess a firearm.
Dock also has previous convictions for domestic abuse battery by strangulation and burglary.
He now faces multiple charges, including:
