Tuesday Temperatures: The weekend ended on Sunday with highs in the upper 80s over most of the area. We have seen very similar conditions on Monday. Cooler air will settle in for a few days starting on Tuesday. Temperatures will begin with lows in the 50s and low 60s. Daytime highs on Tuesday afternoon will be in the 70s and low 80s, which is pretty close to normal for this time of year.
Dry weather to continue: Futurecast shows that we will likely see clouds increase as a cold front moves into and through the area. Our model does show that some showers will be possible over the southern half of the area, however, other models show mainly dry conditions. Tuesday will begin with some leftover clouds in the morning. We will likely see sunshine return by afternoon. This dry weather will likely stick around through at least Friday, and probably Saturday.
Long-range outlook: Your 10-day forecast shows that our streak of dry weather around the ArkLaTex will likely come to an end during Easter weekend. We will see a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm on Saturday and a better chance for some storms on Sunday. After some lingering showers next Monday morning, we will take a short break from rain until the middle of next week. Temperatures will stay above normal for most of the period. Daytime highs will be in the 80s most days and could be close to 90 by Friday. Overnight lows most nights will be in the 60s.
