FNF: Covenant Christian beats St. Charles Catholic 5-1, improves to 32-0

HOUMA (WGNO) – Covenant Christian hosted St. Charles Catholic Friday night in the first matchup of their two-game series.

The Comets took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Lions responded two frames later: posting a four-spot in the third.

St. Charles Catholic opened the door for Covenant Christian with a pass ball. The Lions took the lead with an RBI single, and an error on a popup allowed two more runs in the home half.

Covenant Christian beat St. Charles Catholic 5-1 and improved to 32-0 on the season.

The Lions and Comets wrap up their series Saturday at 1:30pm.
