On April 7, around 10:30 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Hayes Avenue for reports of stabbing. Passon was taken into custody immediately upon arrival.
They both told police that Passon punched the victim after they started arguing. The victim punched her back, which resulted in them both fighting, court documents show.
Passon proceeded to grab a metal rod with a sharp point and stab the boy in the chest, leaving visible injuries, officers reported.
Passon is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic battery causing physical contact.
