Police: Woman wanted in connection to fatal hit-and-run crash in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A woman in Baton Rouge is accused of a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of one woman and injured three others.
Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed that 34-year-old Taquencya Harris is wanted on two counts of hit-and-run driving, two counts of hit-and-run driving: death or serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice and careless operation.
It is believed that Harris is connected to the crash in the 2800 block of Plank Road on March 30. The car struck 22-year-old Laderica Stewart and three others while crossing the street. The three victims were taken to a local hospital.
