Grass Valley, a media and entertainment industry technology provider, is reinforcing its leadership team with key strategic hires “to accelerate customer success, product innovation and regional expansion.”
At the forefront of these appointments is Claudio Szabas, who returns to Grass Valley as executive vice president, customer success. In this role, he will be responsible for designing and executing Grass Valley’s global customer success strategy. Working closely with the sales, product and development teams, the company says he will “ensure the seamless delivery of solutions and an exceptional customer experience, overseeing implementation, post-deployment support, and ongoing customer satisfaction management. He will lead cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, customer retention, and organizational growth.”
With more than 20 years of experience in the media, broadcast, and telecom industries, Szabas brings a unique perspective, having worked extensively as both a customer and a vendor. His expertise in leading global, cross-functional customer success teams will be pivotal in enhancing customer engagement and ensuring they achieve their business objectives with Grass Valley’s world-class solutions.
His career includes leading Amagi’s global technical account management organization, comprising technical account managers, customer success managers and international support, across Americas, EMEA and APAC. Prior to that, he held key leadership roles at Grass Valley, overseeing the Americas Services and Support organization, as well as managing the global customer success function for networking and infrastructure products.
In addition to Szabas’ appointment, Grass Valley announced two additional key hires:
- Chris Partington joins as product director, content & editing. Formerly head of product for media asset management solutions at NEP, Chris brings deep expertise in content and media asset workflows, having worked with many of the world’s leading media organizations. In his new role, he will drive the development strategy for Grass Valley’s industry-leading Framelight X media and production asset management system and EDIUS editing solution, leveraging AMPP to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and collaboration in live and post-production workflows. His extensive experience in cloud-based workflows and media asset management will be instrumental in shaping the future of Grass Valley’s production solutions to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
- Vincent Eade is appointed regional sales director for northern Europe. Vincent rejoins Grass Valley from EditShare, bringing a wealth of sales and leadership experience, including a prior tenure with the company. His return marks a strategic step in strengthening Grass Valley’s market presence and customer relationships across the region. During the past four years at EditShare, Eade most recently was regional VP sales, EMEA, where he led the entire regional sales organization and drove consistent growth across key markets. With more than 25 years of experience in the media technology industry and a proven track record of building high-performing teams, Eade’s deep regional expertise and strong customer relationships will be invaluable as Grass Valley continues to expand its footprint in Northern Europe.
“These new hires reflect our unwavering commitment to customer success, operational excellence and innovation,” said Jon Wilson, Grass Valley president-COO. “Claudio, Chris, and Vince each bring invaluable expertise and leadership to their respective roles, and we are confident they will drive tremendous value for our customers. As we head into NAB Show 2025, Grass Valley is poised for continued growth and success.”
