The free streaming app is now available on Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV. Viewers can catch local stories they may have missed on air, watch streaming-exclusive shows and check the forecast before heading out.
To download the app, simply search “KSEE24/CBS47+” in your Smart TV’s app browser, download the app and start streaming.
Matt Morse, General Manager of KSEE24 and CBS47, says the app is designed to keep things hyper-local.
“The whole point is to be extremely local,” Morse said. “So when you’re streaming TV, you can stream us, and hopefully something that’s local, anytime.”
The app also gives viewers a chance to connect with the team behind the news.
“We do have a lot of people in the building that have other hobbies outside of working at the news,” Morse said.
Morse says even more features are on the way, including local sports content.
“We’re gonna try to broadcast as many sports properties as we can get rights to —so you can watch a Fresno Pacific game, maybe some high school games as well,” he said.
