Capitol police investigate after one injured in shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a person was injured during a shooting in Jackson.

Police responded to a home on Terry Road around 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31. Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers discovered the shooting victim, who was transported to a nearby hospital.

While gathering information, officers discovered that the shooting occurred at a different location on Florence Avenue. No arrests have been made at this time.
