Two injured in Taylor Street shooting: Capitol police

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after two people were injured during a shooting.

The shooting occurred on Taylor Street in Jackson around 12:15 a.m. on August 2.

Bailey Martin, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS), said officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds at the location. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information can contact Capitol police at 601-359-3125.
