Owner Marlicia Thomas is kicking off the store’s community involvement by donating 20% of sales from Saturday’s event to the Gingerbread House Children’s Advocacy Center.
“Twenty percent of all of our sales will go to the Gingerbread House, and that’s just the beginning,” Thomas said. “We want to be more involved in the community, to give back, and just be known for doing God’s work.”
Located at 2369 Airline Drive, Fashion Envy aims to be more than just a retail space—it’s a reflection of Thomas’ lifelong mission to help others. Inspired by childhood experiences assisting the homeless with her sister, Thomas hopes this initiative is the first of many charitable efforts.
Brandy Falting, Chair of the Bossier Chamber Diplomats, emphasized the importance of small businesses like Fashion Envy in the city’s growth.
“Bossier City is a growing community. And we have had a lot of larger businesses closing in the area. So, when we have these small businesses come to town, it’s a huge deal,” Falting said.
