According to Shreveport Police, that night officers responded to a reported shooting at the Cross Lake Apartments on Lakeshore Drive
When they arrived, investigators found Tristavian suffering from a gunshot wound and started rendering life-saving care. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, where he died at 11 p.m.
His cousin, Jakeva, was found by officers deceased in the backseat of an SUV along Curtis Lane. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at 10:36 p.m.
According to the Caddo Parish Coroner, both victims were shot at the same time in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Homicide detectives learned through their investigation that the victims reportedly had engaged in a narcotics transaction at the Cross Lake Apartments at the time of the shooting.
