CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Caddo Parish Grand Jury indicted two men accused of murder and two other men with rape on Wednesday.
The first of the four true bills was returned for Keithon Sharoid Lovelace, 45, who is accused of the April 27, 2025, slaying of Randy Taylor, 30, in the 900 block of Ascalon Street. After the shooting, police learned that Lovelace fled Shreveport and lived under an alias in Panola County, Texas. He was arrested in that area on a drug-related offense under a false name and later extradited to Caddo Parish when his true identity was learned.
The second indictment is related to the February 26, 2025, slaying of Alvin Brinson at a home in the 500 block of East Stoner Avenue. Brinson, 41, suffered a sharp-force injury to his neck following a domestic dispute. Melvin Dewayne Washington, 40, was arrested at a home in Bossier City.
Trevion Marquis Dawon Simmons, 24; and Michael Lynn Parker, 63 both of Shreveport were indicted for first-degree rape in separate cases. Due to the nature of the acts committed, both indictments were sealed with no additional information available.
