On March 26, around 6:30 p.m., officers were called to the 1700 block of Price for reports of shots fired. Two houses in the 1600 block of Price were struck with gunfire, according to court records.
A witness told authorities they saw the suspects running on foot and entering an SUV. Police found and pulled over the SUV at Rural and Adams, but the SUV fled the scene, court documents showed.
The SUV eventually crashed into a fence in the 300 block of South Winnebago. Five suspects continued to flee on foot but were all taken into custody.
Officers recovered a pistol-carbine during the investigation.
