Metairie area SWAT roll ends ‘peacefully’

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office was on the scene of a SWAT Roll in Metairie Thursday, March 23.

The SWAT Team was called to the scene of the standoff at a home in the 4000 block of Loveland Street, where deputies said U.S. Marshals went to execute an arrest warrant.

After hours of negotiation, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto said the suspect surrendered peacefully and was arrested.

The charges related to the incident are unknown.
