Yazoo City Police Chief Terry Gann said a student brought the edibles to Woolfolk Middle School on Tuesday, March 25 and gave them to his classmates.
The students were transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Yazoo City for treatment.
The police chief said investigators are working to determine where the student got the edibles. He said the child’s parents could face charges if they are found to have any involvement in the incident.
Woolfolk Middle School is part of the Mississippi Achievement School District. WJTV 12 News reached out to the superintendent’s office. We have not heard back as of publication.
