Spring-like with sunshine this week, weekend storms

Spring-like with sunshine this week, weekend storms
After the morning storms we saw yesterday, we’ll see a much better day for today.

Some fog could be possible this morning, although visibility doesn’t look too bad so far. Otherwise, any fog will burn off by mid-morning and we’ll see mostly sunny skies this afternoon. With a ridge of high pressure across the region, highs will reach the mid-80s both today and tomorrow.

With northwesterly flow aloft, a drier airmass is settling southward. A weak disturbance will move within that flow and move overhead tomorrow. With moisture limited, this system should come in rather dry, although an isolated shower cannot be ruled out entirely tomorrow.

Thursday looks good with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s.

By Friday night, our next disturbance approaches the region. This will increase atmospheric lift across the area, which will increase storm chances starting Friday night and continuing through Saturday.

Early indications show a front trying to move into the area early next week, which could give us a rain chance next Monday, followed by cooler air.
