Man charged for 2016 homicide in Willingboro

After nine years, justice is being served for a man who was killed while sitting in his car in 2016.

31-year-old Ronny Paden was charged with Murder (First Degree), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Second Degree), and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose for killing 31-year-old Colby Rodgers on April 15, 2016.

According to Willingboro Township Police, Paden shot Rodgers multiple times as he was sitting in the driver’s seat of his Kia Optima on Woodhaven Lane at 3:15 p.m.

The investigation showed that Paden and Rodgers were “acquaintances who had a falling out prior to the shooting.”

Paden is currently at the Bayside State Prison, serving charges of Possession of a Weapon without a permit, for an unrelated incident.

A warrant was served to Paden inside the prison for these additional charges.
