LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — North and South Main Street in London were both “completely shut down” late Sunday afternoon from multiple downed power lines, according to the London City Fire Department.
City fire officials wrote on Facebook around 5:40 p.m. on Sunday that emergency personnel are working to clear the area and restore safety.

“Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice,” the LFD wrote. “We appreciate your patience as responders work to resolve the situation.”
London crews urged community members to stay safe and drive carefully.
