If you recently bought ground meat at Shoprite in Clementon, NJ, check the product in your fridge for a potential recall.

According to the Shoprite of Laurel hill, Laurel Hill, located at 1224 Blackwood-Clementon Rd, the store has “initiated a voluntary recall of all store-made ground beef, pork, and meatloaf mix produced and sold at the store on March 20.”

The store says there is a “possibility that the ground meat may contain small plastic fragments due to a problem with the grinder.”

All the recalled products are in store-made packages of 80 and 85 percent lean ground beef and Angus ground beef including family and small packs, as well as store-made ground beef and pork, ground pork, and meatloaf mix.

All the packages have a sell-by date of March 20.

“We are advising customers who purchased any of the recalled items at the ShopRite of Laurel Hill to return them for an immediate refund or replacement,” said ShopRite Spokesperson Maureen Gillespie.

Shoprite of Laurel Hill says, “This is an isolated incident and affects only the ShopRite of Laurel Hill. ShopRite is asking customers of the store to check the labels of any store-made ground beef, pork, or meatloaf mix products they may have purchased from the store and still have at home.”

Customers who purchased the recalled products can return them for a full refund or replacement.
