According to a U.S. Marshals task force, Kenneth Tripline was taken into custody on the 1500 block of West Diamond Street after he allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.
New Jersey police issued a warrant on March 12 and U.S. Marshals began a search for Tripline.
On March 20, U.S. Marshals received information that Tripline was in a residence near Temple University. At 9 a.m. police and Marshals surrounded the property and then knocked while announcing their presence.
This is when Tripline attempted to escape from a rear window but was forced back inside by police. Tripline surrendered to police and was placed into custody without incident.“Upon determining a fugitive wanted for murder was hiding in close proximity to Temple University, it was imperative for us to capture him as expeditiously as possible,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
