Douglas Co. Sheriff says fire still going strong near Squires


The fire in Douglas County continues in the community of Squires. According to the Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase, the fire is still going heavily and close to ten fire departments are on the scene to help with the situation.Sheriff Degase spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News with the latest.

Officials are asking residents in the area to evacuate and avoid the area if possible.  The area includes County Roads 348, 349 and 352.  KYTV/KSPR are reporting Pine Ridge Church of Christ in Wasola is open to evacuees.
